Jabra, the global enterprise audio and video solutions provider, released a new study, Great ExpectAItions – Work in the Age of AI, which reveals that while many business decision-makers (84%) express high levels of trust in AI, very few office workers (26%) are using it in their daily roles due to a variety of perceived challenges. This disconnect suggests that even though leadership is optimistic about AI’s potential, they may yet lack the necessary vision or skills to effectively implement it across the workforce.

The study, conducted among 1,800 AI decision makers surveyed across six countries and 4,200 employees from 14 countries, highlights that despite strong enthusiasm for AI, there is a clear disconnect between trust in the technology and its actual use in the workplace. While 85% of decision-makers express high interest in AI, the vast majority (82%) acknowledge they need to better understand how AI can improve workplace efficiency.

AI Workplace Challenges

Additionally, although 54% of employees believe AI can improve their work and 54% feel confident in their ability to collaborate successfully with AI, there’s still a significant gap in actual adoption in regular use at work. Jabra’s data found this appears due to several perceived challenges and demographic considerations:

  • 90% of employees wouldn’t trust AI for tasks that require creativity and innovation. This reluctance isn’t just about trust, it’s also about the satisfaction that comes from being personally involved in these more meaningful tasks.
  • There’s a clear generational divide in AI adoption, with 47% of Millennials and 37% of Gen Z indicating they feel positive about AI versus only 15% of Boomers. Adoption wise, 28% of Millennials and Gen Z use AI day to day at work, versus just 15% of Boomers.
  • AI decision-makers are relatively young – 58% are between the ages of 18 and 39 – and 71% are not from the IT department.

Paul Sephton, head of brand communications at Jabra, says, “We see many organizations eager to jump on the AI wave, but some are still dancing in the dark when it comes to effective implementation and meaningful use. As tools rapidly shift toward voice-driven input rather than text alone, it’s crucial for organizations to recognize how this evolution will change our interactions with AI and enhance productivity.”

He continues, “To avoid what we call ‘AI-washing’— simply jumping on the AI bandwagon — organizations must carefully evaluate the productivity gains that AI can offer and actively involve their employees in this journey. At Jabra, we believe in harnessing the power of AI not just to enhance productivity, but to foster a more connected and capable workforce, driving innovation and collaboration at every level.”

Jabra, global provider of wireless sound and hybrid-work solutions, announced Jabra+ for Admins, a cloud-based API-first software platform for remote monitoring and management of meeting rooms and devices.

Per a statement, Jabra+ for Admins offers a seamless experience from start to finish, allowing users to manage their communication devices with ease. As a result, it helps save time on administration and troubleshooting. IT administrators will have visibility and control over settings, firmware and insights from one unified software platform. Moreover, they can check in for real-time status updates from anywhere, says Jabra.

According to the company, Jabra+ for Admins will pave the way for future experiences for IT administrators, end users and partners. The platform will start with meeting room and video device management that customers can sign up for now via an Early Adopter Program. There will be wider availability later this summer, Jabra adds.

Next-Generation Meeting-Room and Video-Device Management

With Jabra+ for Admins, users can effortlessly monitor and manage all Jabra meeting room solutions with a clear visual overview of rooms, locations and devices. The modern user-interface (UI), new design, and enhanced intuitiveness make device management more accessible. All in all, it offers a comprehensive solution for IT administrators, the company states.

The platform also allows users to manage all devices in a room collectively; thus optimizing the in-room experience by remotely configuring devices and updating firmware. The real-time online/offline status tracking of rooms and devices helps to identify immediate issues. This then reduces IT tickets and ensures a seamless meeting experience, the company reveals.

Jabra+ for Admins: A Unified and Secure Cloud Platform

As a unified software platform, Jabra+ for Admins can integrate with IT help desk systems and third-party tools to create an ecosystem for device management. Whether updating devices, customizing headsets, or integrating with Jabra devices, users engage with a single system.

Per a statement, Jabra+ for Admins also leverages the security and scalability of Microsoft Azure. As a result, it provides a platform with Single Sign-On (SSO). SSO enhances security by reducing attack surfaces and streamlining user authentication, resulting in a better user experience and alleviating IT burdens associated with password recovery.

Holger Reisinger, SVP of enterprise solutions at Jabra, says, “In the hybrid workplace where managing meeting rooms and multiple devices is increasingly complex, we understand the importance of simplicity and efficiency. This is why we created Jabra+ for Admins; a streamlined, secure platform that is easy to use. Users can now be more productive and spend more time on what makes their business thrive.”

After announcing it at InfoComm 2023, Jabra has integrated the Microsoft Intelligent Speaker feature for its videobar solutions. Per a statement, the PanaCast 50 and PanaCast 50 Room System by Jabra are the first front-of-room devices to be certified for the new Microsoft Intelligent Speaker functionality.

This functionality identifies who said what in a Microsoft Teams Room meeting and allows each person to have their spoken words accurately attributed to them in the transcript, says Jabra. Using intelligent speech recognition, it identifies up to 10 individual speakers’ voices. The feature also includes names of in-room participants to the live transcription so people are aware of who the speakers are and the content of the meeting.

Additionally, the voice-recognition functionality – upon individual enrollment – enables in-room participants to maintain their identity in the meeting transcript. Thus, it allows for more precise intelligent recaps for users with a Teams Premium license, the company notes.

Features of Intelligent Speaker Functionality

Per a statement, the Intelligent Speaker feature is proprietary Microsoft technology to uniquely identify a person’s voice to have accurate speaker attribution. When multiple people are speaking in a conference room, and the transcription feature in Microsoft Teams is enabled, it makes sure the sentences and words of each attendee can be attributed to them as opposed to being generically attributed to the meeting space.

Jabra PanaCast 50 is the first and only Microsoft Teams Rooms video bar that supports Intelligent Speaker right in the bar, per a statement. Thus, one does not need to purchase a secondary device just to enable this capability. The PanaCast 50 also now natively includes Microsoft’s Intelligent Meeting Space. This allows the videobar system to set room boundaries to avoid including outsiders in the meeting field-of-view, says Jabra.

Streamlining Online Meetings

As explained by Microsoft, announcing the general availability, Intelligent Speaker will bring people identification in live transcription in a shared environment. Thus, it allows everyone in the meeting to spend less time taking notes. Moreover, participants can easily follow along who said what in the room, per a statement.

According to Jabra, the Intelligent Speaker functionality includes a seven-microphone array to identify voices. So whether participants are working remotely or in the conference room, they can effectively see who said what during and after the meeting.

Josh Blalock, Microsoft MVP and chief video evangelist at Jabra says, “No one likes taking minutes. And now, no one has to. We are proud to be the first to bring Intelligent Speaker for Microsoft Teams directly to a video collaboration bar, expanding the ROI for our PanaCast 50 customers and eliminating the need for them to further complicate their meeting-room deployments.”

Blalock adds, “At Jabra, we are always looking for ways to harness the power of cutting-edge AI technologies to revolutionize hybrid and remote meetings. And this is a major step.”

According to the Lowell, Mass.-based company, the new Evolve2 headsets thus empower users with the most useful and professional features. With this, users can protect their focus zone and take calls and meetings, no matter their environment. Additionally, they boast optimized sound for professional use and music. As a result, there is no need to switch headsets during break times.

Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex

To provide maximum flexibility, the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex has a unique fold-and-go design. It also comes with a collapsible hinged headband and slimmed-down earcups. The Evolve2 65 Flex also features a soft sustainable pouch. This allows users to easily tuck it into even the smallest bag or pocket. With the headset, audio is clear even in loud locations, thanks to a powerful chipset, advanced digital algorithm and beamforming Jabra ClearVoice microphones for the open office. The chipset and noise-cancelling technology delivers optimal Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), says Jabra. Additionally, the close-fitting memory foam earcups help seal out even more of the surroundings.

Evolve2 65 Flex features Jabra Air Comfort technology and flexible earcups that rotates to move whenever users do. This makes the headset incredibly comfortable, no matter how long it is on. Jabra also notes that the unique technology layers ultra-soft perforated foam inside the collapsible headband for a gentle cushioning effect.

The headset has a 360-degree busylight, a shorter hide-away boom arm and it is certified for all leading virtual meeting platforms. This includes Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Zoom. Moreover, workers are equipped for all-day work and play with the headset promising up to 32 hours of music time and up to 20 hours of talk time with ANC/busylight off.

Jabra Evolve2 55 and 50

With more flexible working, and therefore more potential for distractions, Jabra says it is bringing Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) into more professional headsets. This comes in a wireless option, the Evolve2 55 and a corded version, the Evolve2 50. The headsets are built with powerful ANC that has a unique acoustic chamber design, 28mm custom speakers, a specially designed chipset that powers speech-separating, and two premium noise-cancelling microphones.

Both products are certified for all leading virtual-meeting platforms. This includes Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Zoom. Moreover, the products provide a comfortable fit with Jabra Air Comfort technology.

The current generation of hybrid workers are in search of comfortable, flexible and easy to use devices for both work and music. Meanwhile, headsets are evolving from mere accessories to a business necessity for productive work,” says Holger Reisinger, SVP for enterprise solutions at Jabra. “This was why we sought to create high-quality, mid-range headsets so we can meet the needs of both the business and end-users. Particularly with the foldable version, everyone will have the ability to look, sound and be professional, working from anywhere.”

Audio solutions provider Jabra is launching the Speak2, a new line of professional speakerphones designed for hybrid work featuring advanced full duplex audio.

The Lowell, Mass.-based company’s new products are the Speak2 75, Speak2 55 and Speak2 40, which Jabra says are intelligent speakerphones designed to handle conference meetings, direct calls, streaming media, presentations and more.

According to the company, the Speak2 speakerphones are engineered to go beyond standard speakerphone performance by providing full duplex audio, allowing users who are talking simultaneously to conduct more natural two-way dialogues that make it seem like each speaker was there in person without disrupting conversation flow.

Jabra says each speakerphone in the Speak2 lineup features voice level normalization technology and beamforming microphones designed to eliminate background noise for superb voice pickup.

The Speak2 75 features a custom-designed microphone quality indicator via a 360-degree light ring that shows users how well their voice is being picked up by the microphones, giving users reassurance that they are being heard.

The speakerphone also includes an advanced full-range 65mm speaker for a more powerful audio experience and more efficient and productive meetings, the company says.

Jabra says the Speak2 speakerphones feature plug-and-play connectivity so users can quickly start or join a meeting. The Speak2 40 connects via USB, while the Speak2 75 and Speak2 55 also feature wireless connectivity.

Each speakerphone is designed to work with al leading virtual meeting platforms, the company adds. In addition, the Speak2 75 can work with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms, Jabra says.

In a statement, Aurangzeb Khan, senior vice president for collaboration solutions at Jabra, says sound clarity is fundamental when looking to ensure employees feel included in hybrid meetings.

“Therefore, Jabra decided to take on the challenge of re-engineering the world-leading Jabra Speak series for better performance and optimized experiences,” Khan says. “Engineered for the hybrid worker who wants to hear and be heard in the most productive way, the new Speak2 range demonstrates to those working flexibly between home and office, that their voice matters too. So, get ready to speak up.”

]]>
Jabra, prominent in personal sound, video and office solutions, has launched the Jabra Perform 45, the first in its new Jabra Perform product series that is set to help digitally transform frontline workers.

According to a research, many frontline workers feel they lack the right technology and access to information to do their job effectively. Lowell, Mass.-based Jabra notes that its discreet Bluetooth mono headset will address these concerns with its compact design and Push-to-Talk (PTT) button.

Frontline workers can thus gain direct access to other colleagues instantly and make faster, informed decisions. This then boosts their productivity and performance within the business. At the same time, it enhances customer satisfaction.

Connectivity Made Simple

Minimal button interactions and intuitive button placements are essential for those darting between the shop floor and the stock room. This is because they need to find the right buttons quickly. With the PTT button directly on the headset, employees can answer any urgent questions and solve problems almost instantly no matter where they are. According to Jabra, the PTT feature is unique in a headset form factor and helps make workers more productive.

The PTT button works with platforms like Microsoft Teams Walkie Talkie and Zebra Workforce Connect straight out of the box. It can also be integrated with the business’ preferred platform using the Jabra SDK.

For a full overview of the devices used by the business, employers can use the Jabra Xpress management software. This allows users to track, update, and customize all devices across the whole organization.

Crystal Clear Communication, Anywhere

Noise is a constant challenge for most frontline workers. For this reason, the Jabra Perform 45 comes with an advanced ultra-noise-cancelling microphone that removes up to 80% of background noise. Thus, it helps co-workers hear each other correctly right the first time. The speaker also features optimization for speech clarity. This allows for smooth, uninterrupted communication on both ends.

Moreover, the Face2Face feature helps ensure that customers always have the workers’ full attention. Users can activate this feature by lifting the microphone boom arm to a vertical position. This then mutes all incoming audio. When the employee is ready to re-engage with colleagues on the PTT channel, they simply need to pull the boom arm back down to receive PTT messages again.

Lightweight Design, Everyday Use

When working in a busy environment, it is essential for frontline workers to have a lightweight headset that does not weigh them down. The compact Jabra Perform 45 weighs just .63oz, the company notes. It also fits comfortably and discreetly around whichever ear the workers prefer to wear it on. As a result, it ensures that workers always appear approachable and professional to customers.

The Jabra Perform 45 also comes with three sizes of EarGel, so workers can find the fit that feels right for them, whether on the left or right ear.

“We are reminded more than ever of the essential role of frontline workers across industries like healthcare, hospitality, warehouse and retail. They are the glue which binds the entire operation together, so we knew that our new line, Jabra Perform, needed products that can help frontline workers do their job better. Our hope is for frontline workers to have everything they need within finger’s reach with the Jabra Perform 45 headset, so they can assist their colleagues and customers and can remain in the zone no matter where they are,” says Yves Dupuis, SVP at Jabra.

Key Features of Jabra Perform 45

  • Small, lightweight and discreet design: Workers will be comfortable all-day and always look approachable to customers. It’s durable, with IP54-rated protection from dust and water

Jabra, the Copenhagen, Denmark-headquartered provider of personal sound, video and office solutions, launched a new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution, Engage AI and two new Engage headsets designed for contact centers.

Engage AI utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) technology to provide real-time insights to improve customer calls and support employee wellbeing. The launch comes on the back of Jabra’s findings on how 76% of customers who contact customer service do so over the phone and how voice interaction remains the preferred channel for customers. With customer experience being a key performance indicator for businesses, Engage AI is built for agents to improve customer satisfaction through monitoring elements like tone of voice.

Real-time Insights with Engage AI

Engage AI assesses both the caller and agents’ conversation and levels of engagement. The solution, which works with most contact center systems, provides an instant measurement of the customer experience and live coaching on how to manage given situations. When agents deliver a friendly and energetic voice, it demonstrably improves customer satisfaction and conversion rates, and reduces call length, thereby saving costs.

Such real-time insights allow agents to adjust their approach during calls immediately to better suit the caller’s needs as well as post-call in the form of engagement scores to understand areas of improvement. The engagement score and data can also be integrated into existing analytics platforms via API.

Tools for Development

The SaaS solution comes with tools to support skill development and improve team management. Contact center agents can get access to self-coaching assessments and performance evaluations which are strength-based, inclusive and personalized for each agent and team.

Contact center supervisors can also get insights into their team’s performance to further improve customer experience on an individual and team level. On top of receiving real-time updates on praiseworthy and coachable moments, supervisors can use the platform to monitor employee wellbeing based on real-time event updates and dashboards with call analytics and data.

The AI model is based on over 20 years of research and millions of analyzed conversations by the world’s most prolific voice AI scientists at audEERING, a Munich-based technology operation.

Engage AI works across all dialects and languages.

Jabra Engage Headsets

To improve contact center customer experiences, Jabra has added two new Engage headsets: Engage 50 II and 40. The company says the Jabra Engage 50 II headset ensures that no calls will ever be missed with its SmartRinger feature. Meanwhile, the Jabra Engage 40 delivers speech optimization and background noise cancellation, enabling agents to focus on conversations with customers.

Jabra Engage 50 II

The Jabra Engage 50 II uses advanced algorithms to create a beamforming pickup of users’ voices and analyses the noises in the background. Its 3-microphone system surpasses the standards of Microsoft’s Premium Microphone for the Open Office, according to the company. Jabra attributes this to its ability to remove up to 36 decibels of noise, enabling the clearest call experience and spot-on call transcriptions.

Jabra introduced two new headsets to its Engage product lineup: Engage 50 II and Engage 40 to help contact centers improve customer experiences.

The Engage 50 II headset also features an adjustable, audible SmartRinger feature that alerts the user of incoming calls even when they are not wearing the headset. It is on a detachable link controller with a volume wheel designed to sit on the desk next to the keyboard to give a no-look access to all controls.

Jabra Engage 40

With contact center agents having their headsets on all-day, comfort is key. The Jabra Engage 40 headset is lightweight with angled ear cushions and in a maze-shaped pattern inside each ear cup to relieve pressure. Its built-in hearing protection, two microphones, noise-isolating earcups and advanced speaker technology helps to optimize every spoken word. The Jabra Engage 40 also has an inline control unit so agents can handle calls with speed with the programmable buttons.

Bringing transparency to call center operations

With hybrid work, it can be difficult for contact center operations and agents to understand if they are delivering great audio quality and conversations. Data is available through Jabra’s SDK and can be accessed through pre-built integrations with, amongst others, Nectar, Operata and Virsae. Or it can be accessed with Jabra’s free Engage+ desktop app that provides real-time call insights to improve conversation quality.

The Engage+ desktop app assesses whether the background noise, microphone position and voice quality are good prior to a call. During the call, it helps to correct any issues and provide conversation guidance and wraps up every session with a post-call report. According to Jabra, the app is non-intrusive, easy to use and can be easily deployed via the Microsoft Windows Installer (MSI) file.

Both headsets work with contact centers platforms and are Microsoft Teams certified.
