Registration is officially open for InfoComm 2023, set for June 10 to 16 (exhibits from June 14 to 16) at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. The show will explore pro AV solutions that accelerate productivity and create unforgettable in-person experiences.

“At InfoComm, we bring all facets of the pro AV industry together to see advancements in technology up close, learn new skills, and grow professional networks,” says David Labuskes, CTS, CAE, RCDD, chief executive officer of AVIXA, producer of InfoComm.

He then adds, “The show provides inspiration on the possibilities of what pro AV can do as well as a forum for conversations on how to weather current day challenges, such as AV supply and labor market. InfoComm is proud to host a full week of productive engagements so we can continue to elevate the practice of pro AV.”

The Trailblazers Zone

The InfoComm tradeshow floor will host more than 600 exhibitors showcasing their latest technology and solutions. The focus will be on conferencing and collaboration; content production and streaming, digital signage, learning technology and audio. There will also be an emphasis on sustainability and eco-friendly products that reduce the carbon footprint; interoperability, agnostic and flexibility demonstrated through partnerships; virtual production end-to-end solutions; and all-in-one products that reduce installation times.

The new Trailblazers Zone will spotlight first-time InfoComm exhibitors, featuring companies with innovative solutions powered by artificial intelligence and augmented reality and more. These companies will thus be the primary feature on the tradeshow floor where they can “wow” the audience with their solutions. Some of the companies in the Trailblazers Zone include 22 miles, Arti, Displayforce, Esprit Digital, Insta360, Parallax AV Design, SapientX and Synology.

InfoComm will also host show floor tours curated by solution: digital signage, learning, conferencing and collaboration, audio, enterprise IT, and content production and streaming. These 90-minute tours, led by industry experts, will take place on June 14 and 15.

Powerful Partnerships

InfoComm has partnered with several organizations to deliver enhanced content programming, education and networking experiences at the show. These include AVUG (AV Users Group) hosted-buyers event; the D=SIGN conference co-produced with the Digital Signage Federation; NSCA’s business program for AV integrators; and an experiential event by XUSC (Experience United Social Club) at the Museum of Illusions.

“InfoComm is the only trade show in North America focused on pro AV with world renowned exhibitors, an unparalleled education offering, and unique networking experiences for one full week,” says Rochelle Richardson, CEM, senior vice president of expositions and events, AVIXA.

She adds, “The pro AV community is vast and filled with an array of important channels and professionals with specific market and solution focuses. We have loyal attendees and exhibitors and have built partnerships with key organizations that bring their unique expertise to the show. At InfoComm, you can experience every facet of the pro AV industry. If you have anything to do with pro AV, InfoComm is the place you’ll want to be this June.”

Education Program

InfoComm 2023 will present a comprehensive education program for attendees. These include technical skills training and workshops, manufacturer’s training, solution-focused conferences and 10 tracks of curated education.

CTS Prep Courses

The training program begins on Sat., June 10, with technical skills courses and Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) prep courses. The curated education program running from June 14 to June 16 will thus feature 10 tracks. These comprise audio, business and project management; conferencing and collaboration; content, production, and streaming; design and integration; digital signage; diversity and inclusion; enterprise IT, learning spaces, and live events.

D=SIGN conference

The D=SIGN conference will return to InfoComm on June 14 and 15. Produced in partnership with the Digital Signage Federation, this conference explores the solutions, innovations and big ideas around digital signage.

Congreso AVIXA

After five virtual editions, Congreso AVIXA, presented in Spanish, will make its in-person debut at InfoComm 2023 on Tues., June 13. Congreso AVIXA aims to generate a broad conversation among Spanish-speaking AV professionals on trends, challenges, opportunities and the role of audiovisual technology in today’s world.

Enterprise IT Conference

Also new this year is the Enterprise IT Conference on June 15 and 16. Sessions will explore modernizing system design in government, network convergence and AV system optimization, hacking your AV network and more.

InfoComm attendees can also find valuable insights at the Technology Innovation Stage on the show floor June 14 to June 16. These free sessions will provide trend forecasts from technology managers, manufacturers and industry experts. It will also feature product announcements, demonstrations and case studies from exhibitors, and inspiring talks on what’s possible with pro AV.

AVIXA Xchange Live

Also returning to InfoComm 2023 is AVIXA Xchange Live, an in-person activation of AVIXA Xchange. This is the unique virtual community designed to connect thought leaders, solution providers and innovative manufacturers with AV solution seekers. AVIXA Xchange Live will thus bring a lineup of engaging opportunities from Wednesday to Friday. These include the Fireside Chats, Big Brainstorms as well as Mixers and Meetups.

Visit the InfoComm room on AVIXA Xchange for ongoing conversations and the latest news. Additionally, according to the organization, registration for InfoComm 2023 is now officially open.

AVIXA announced this morning that InfoComm 2020, the largest annual pro AV show in North America, is being canceled due to “concern for the health and safety of our exhibitors, attendees, partners and staff.”

To be clear, the 2020 edition of the show—set for June 13 to 19 in Las Vegas—will not be rescheduled for some time later in 2020. AVIXA leadership alluded to creating some sort of virtual component for the event, but no plans were specifically announced.

Enterprise Connect announced last week it will host virtual keynotes for its 2020 event, which was rescheduled from March in Orlando, Fla., to August in San Francisco due to concerns about the coronavirus outbreak.

“We are currently considering new options to bring to life the engaging and educational experiences of the show in a number of different ways,” the AVIXA announcement says.

Here’s more from this morning’s announcement from AVIXA management about InfoComm 2020:

A show like InfoComm begins months before the first crate arrives with attendees arranging calendars, booking flights, and setting meetings.

It begins with exhibitors launching marketing campaigns, committing to venues for events, designing their booths and coordinating dozens if not hundreds of staff calendars.

It also begins with our speakers and instructors spending countless hours honing their content and rehearsing.

However, we were forced to make the painful choice to take away this gathering opportunity and return time, money and effort to our community, to be spent on sustaining each other through this trial, and to position all of the industry for recovery and resurgence.

We look forward to working with you over the coming months as the world responds to and then recovers from this crisis. And we most sincerely look forward to seeing you at InfoComm 2021 in Orlando.

InfoComm has attracted more than 40,000 attendees to its June shows in Orlando and Las Vegas for the past several years. Those attendance numbers have included an increased emphasis on end users. InfoComm 2021 is scheduled for June 12-18 in Orlando.

“This was not a decision we made lightly but with careful consideration and as advised by public health authorities,” said AVIXA CEO Dave Labuskes in the association’s announcement.

“Thankfully, we did not have to make it alone and are grateful to our InfoComm community, exhibitor advisory committee, education committees, and so many others who supported our desire to not jeopardize the livelihoods and long-term gains of the industry,” he said.

“InfoComm is not just an AVIXA trade show,” said Labuskes in the AVIXA announcement. “It is the industry’s show and it is important that we move forward to the benefit of the entire community.”

InfoComm “has always provided a one-of-a-kind experience for both its exhibitors and attendees,” he said. “We knew that in today’s environment we could not fully deliver on those experiences and consequently could not move forward.

“More importantly, keeping the community safe and healthy is our highest priority; therefore, we are following the guidelines of public health authorities during the ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19,” said Labuskes.
