NEC Display Solutions of America has big plans for its 46-inch X463UN HD LED. The newly announced display can work with some seriously large applications, including video walls, digital signage, and much more.
As part of the X Series, this ultra-narrow display is designed to work 24/7 with a 5.7mm distance between active screen areas of two neighboring displays. Even after a long day/week, the X463UN can still shine, thanks to a full 1080p HD image and direct LED backlighing.
A few other perks promise better brightness, reduced power consumption, and mercury-free components. It also supports Intel’s Open Pluggable Specification (OPS), the industry-wide standard in option slots to simplify digital signage. This boasts an easy install, as well as use and maintenance.
“Video walls are making bold statements for the organizations deploying them, and these large-scale canvases are growing in numbers and complexity,” said Keith Yanke, NEC’s director of product marketing for large screen displays and projectors. “The NEC X463UN display brings reduced power consumption and improved edge-to-edge brightness through direct LED backlighting, while also providing a decreased active-area-to-active-area gap and multiple digital loop-through connections.”
The X463UN has plenty of connection possibilities, via a DisplayPort in/out, DVI-D in-out and HDMI, as well as RS-232C and LAN ports. There’s also a built-in expansion slot for of NEC-branded or Intel OPS-certified cards.
Look for the X463UN to start selling soon with an MSRP of $5,149.
