Humly, the Stockholm, Sweden-based, workplace experience company will introduce its range of Humly Software Solutions to North American audiences at InfoComm 2023 where the company will exhibit for the first time. Humly will show its interactive software solutions in combination with its two hardware solutions, demonstrating its value proposition of providing flexible and sustainable workplace solutions that businesses can tailor to serve their business environments. Humly will be at booth 3988.

Humly Software Solutions Suite

The Humly Software Solutions suite includes four distinct workplace offerings:

  1. Humly Floor Plan
  2. Humly Reservations
  3. Humly Visitor
  4. Humly Wayfinding

Each software solution is deployable separately or in any combination throughout an office building, corporate campus, or multi-site enterprise business. All are compatible with Humly’s two hardware solutions: the Humly Booking Device, a slim, small-form-factor device with flexible mounting options and a touchscreen to reserve bookable spaces on campus; and the Humly Room Display, a tablet-sized booking solution with an interactive display for mounting outside meeting rooms.

According to Humly, the seamless interoperability of all it’s workplace solutions eliminates integration chaos and security concerns, while a flexible API ensures freedom and interoperability with a customer’s broader technology ecosystem, including third-party calendaring systems and conferencing software solutions.

Humly Visitor

Humly Visitor is “check-in to check-out” solution that tracks the visitor’s journey for security and optimization, while reducing frustration for visitors as they navigate unfamiliar territory. Visitors can check-in, approve terms and conditions, and automatically register parking spaces, while hosts are alerted of arrivals to greet guests with friendly messages and trigger visitor badges.

Humly Floor Plan

Humly Floor PlanHumly Floor Plan addresses the challenge of booking workspaces in hybrid business environments with flexible, dynamic worker schedules. The product provides a comprehensive 3D overview of meeting room, desk, and parking space availability on each floor, in each building, and in every garage. Workers can check availability for new bookings en route to the office, and remotely manage existing bookings to reduce frustration on arrival. Inside the office, Humly Floor Plan’s3D visualization tool provides a view of available (green) and unavailable (red) spaces on passive displays, and can be used to book spaces on a touchscreen kiosk when deployed in interactive mode.

Humly Wayfinding & Humly Reservations

Humly Wayfinding and Humly Reservations respectively exist to guide workers to available meeting rooms, and book meeting rooms, desks, parking spaces and more on a touchscreen.

Humly Wayfinding is ideal when deployed on larger displays and kiosks, with a detailed list of meetings, times, and destinations similar to airport arrival/departure screens that are absorbable on quick glance.

Humly Reservations provides users with an overview of their personal bookings, with the ability to make adjust schedules, add guest users, and initiate bookings directly from Microsoft Teams.

“We have gradually developed our suite of Humly Software Solutions for the workplace over the past ten years, with an emphasis on keeping our portfolio streamlined and perfecting each product over time,” says Anders Karlsson, CEO, Humly. “Our focus on developing responsive software solutions that are easy to use, visually attractive, interoperable with third-party systems, and infinitely scalable through our Humly Cloud service ensure that our customers have long-lasting, valuable and customizable solutions to book, manage and optimize office spaces of any scale over many years.”

InfoComm 2023 takes place June 14 to 16 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. Humly’s North American channel partners will join Humly representatives at their InfoComm booth to demonstrate the full range of Humly Workplace Solutions in various deployment examples.

Humly, the Sweden-based workplace experience company, will launch its two premium interactive hardware solutions in North America at the upcoming InfoComm show in Orlando. Per a statement, the company will exhibit at the trade show for the first time. The announcement follows news that Humly has expanded its North American presence through reseller partnerships with A.Visual, Dekom, and other strategic partners. Together, they will support Humly’s hardware and software demonstrations at booth #3988.

“The hybrid workspace remains a hot topic that companies of all sizes are still learning to navigate, and we anticipate that the thirst for these solutions at InfoComm will be quite strong,” says Anders Karlsson, CEO, Humly. “AV suppliers have accelerated their development cycles to equip offices and corporate campuses with technology that help managers and workers be more effective. Humly’s hardware and software solutions help companies reduce friction in hybrid workplaces by helping people clearly and quickly identify places to work and meet.”

Humly will introduce its Humly Booking Device and Humly Room Display to North American audiences. Per the company, both help people find places to work and collaborate without distraction. Humly introduced Humly Booking Device, a slim, small, and infinitely flexible device, at ISE 2023 in February. Introduced in 2020, the six-time award-winning Humly Room Display helps simplify meeting room reservations. It most recently received certification for Google Workplace and is widely deployed in Europe and Asia.

Versatile Space Booking

The new Humly Booking Device, now shipping, addresses the evolving challenges of the hybrid workplace. Here, it provides staff and visitors with a versatile capacitive touchscreen solution to view and reserve available bookable spaces on campus. Its slim form factor houses a small, high-resolution LCD display (3.46 inches). It also comes with flexible mounting and positioning options on and underneath various surfaces. Some examples include walls, shelves, desks and private phone booths. Offices with shared desks and flexible workplace modules can also install the device at the precise locations where people work. Moreover, the Humly Booking device comes with versatile tabletop, shelf, and under-surface mounting options.

New for InfoComm, Humly will introduce new firmware that includes several new improvements across system management and the employee experience. Customers can now use the Humly Control Panel through a WiFi connection. With this, they can easily manage and monitor events. They will also have the ability to book, extend or conclude meetings through the management portal. Users can also perform that same functions directly on the device, which shows all inventory available to book.

New Demo Mode

A new “Demo Mode” introduces the freedom to flip screens for different orientations, allowing installers to find the best stylistic match for the architectural background prior to mounting. Integrators can test options and then efficiently mount the device horizontally or vertically on any material. These include glass, textile, metal and wood. Humly has also expanded language support from 26 to 28, adding Hebrew and Welsh.

Humly notes that its thoughtful engineering added several advanced features that further enhance the employee experience. For example, the Humly Booking Device integrates control functionality for adjustable desks, with automatic adjustments to each worker’s preferred height. Additionally, Humly’s open API makes it easy for integrators or onsite technology managers to connect a sensor. This then allows managers and employees to booth meeting spaces and private phone booths upon entrance.

Meeting-Room Management

Humly says it introduced its first hardware solution, Humly Room Display, at a time when most office buildings were closed yet were beginning to consider return-to-work strategies under uncertain conditions. Humly Room Display was developed to help people find collaboration spaces they have booked through reservation software. It also helps guide people to currently available spaces. Display content includes details on who has booked the room and for how long. With this, it ensures that meetings proceed without disturbance. Additionally, its look matches any modern office aesthetic, with a sleek and energy-efficient design, Humly states.

Humly Room Display is scalable to fit the needs of large corporations, with enterprise-class security that prevents outside intrusions. Administrators can use the Humly Control Panel to monitor and manage an entire fleet of displays from a single location. This can be on premises or remotely via Humly Cloud. Same as Humly Booking Device, its open API makes it easy for developers to create seamless integrations with complementary solutions, including smart-office and collaboration technologies.

Humly will position both devices around its InfoComm booth in various configurations to demonstrate each product’s flexibility where visitors get to interact with each device and explore their user-friendly feature sets. As part of Humly’s long-term sustainability efforts both devices use purpose-built hardware, with each component carefully selected to ensure consistent operation during long business hours without failure. The PoE-powered devices are built to operate reliably for a minimum of five years. Additionally, the new Humly Booking Device’s green design traits include recycled plastic.

Registration is officially open for InfoComm 2023, set for June 10 to 16 (exhibits from June 14 to 16) at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. The show will explore pro AV solutions that accelerate productivity and create unforgettable in-person experiences.

“At InfoComm, we bring all facets of the pro AV industry together to see advancements in technology up close, learn new skills, and grow professional networks,” says David Labuskes, CTS, CAE, RCDD, chief executive officer of AVIXA, producer of InfoComm.

He then adds, “The show provides inspiration on the possibilities of what pro AV can do as well as a forum for conversations on how to weather current day challenges, such as AV supply and labor market. InfoComm is proud to host a full week of productive engagements so we can continue to elevate the practice of pro AV.”

The Trailblazers Zone

The InfoComm tradeshow floor will host more than 600 exhibitors showcasing their latest technology and solutions. The focus will be on conferencing and collaboration; content production and streaming, digital signage, learning technology and audio. There will also be an emphasis on sustainability and eco-friendly products that reduce the carbon footprint; interoperability, agnostic and flexibility demonstrated through partnerships; virtual production end-to-end solutions; and all-in-one products that reduce installation times.

The new Trailblazers Zone will spotlight first-time InfoComm exhibitors, featuring companies with innovative solutions powered by artificial intelligence and augmented reality and more. These companies will thus be the primary feature on the tradeshow floor where they can “wow” the audience with their solutions. Some of the companies in the Trailblazers Zone include 22 miles, Arti, Displayforce, Esprit Digital, Insta360, Parallax AV Design, SapientX and Synology.

InfoComm will also host show floor tours curated by solution: digital signage, learning, conferencing and collaboration, audio, enterprise IT, and content production and streaming. These 90-minute tours, led by industry experts, will take place on June 14 and 15.

Powerful Partnerships

InfoComm has partnered with several organizations to deliver enhanced content programming, education and networking experiences at the show. These include AVUG (AV Users Group) hosted-buyers event; the D=SIGN conference co-produced with the Digital Signage Federation; NSCA’s business program for AV integrators; and an experiential event by XUSC (Experience United Social Club) at the Museum of Illusions.

“InfoComm is the only trade show in North America focused on pro AV with world renowned exhibitors, an unparalleled education offering, and unique networking experiences for one full week,” says Rochelle Richardson, CEM, senior vice president of expositions and events, AVIXA.

She adds, “The pro AV community is vast and filled with an array of important channels and professionals with specific market and solution focuses. We have loyal attendees and exhibitors and have built partnerships with key organizations that bring their unique expertise to the show. At InfoComm, you can experience every facet of the pro AV industry. If you have anything to do with pro AV, InfoComm is the place you’ll want to be this June.”

CTS Prep Courses

The training program begins on Sat., June 10, with technical skills courses and Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) prep courses. The curated education program running from June 14 to June 16 will thus feature 10 tracks. These comprise audio, business and project management; conferencing and collaboration; content, production, and streaming; design and integration; digital signage; diversity and inclusion; enterprise IT, learning spaces, and live events.

D=SIGN conference

The D=SIGN conference will return to InfoComm on June 14 and 15. Produced in partnership with the Digital Signage Federation, this conference explores the solutions, innovations and big ideas around digital signage.

Congreso AVIXA

After five virtual editions, Congreso AVIXA, presented in Spanish, will make its in-person debut at InfoComm 2023 on Tues., June 13. Congreso AVIXA aims to generate a broad conversation among Spanish-speaking AV professionals on trends, challenges, opportunities and the role of audiovisual technology in today’s world.
