First announced in September 2012 at CEDIA Expo, iRidium mobile has released its 2.0.7 version of its i2 Control software package.
The iRidium visualization and control software package by iRidium mobile is a powerful all-in-one tool that enables AV integrators to create robust custom interfaces that easily interact with a wide variety of automation technology solutions, allowing them all to be centrally controlled via the iRidium i2 Application. When implemented, the iRidium i2 Application allows end users the ability to access and control all of their equipment from any device running on the iOS, Mac, Windows XP/7/8, or Android platform, thereby significantly expanding the system’s reach and usability.
The company recently announced that AMX, Crestron, HDL, Clipsal, Lutron, Global Caché, KNX, Modbus, Helvar, Weinzierl and others are available for integration within the iRidium mobile system, and that more brands will be added as they are tested and approved.
Native drivers are available for Crestron, KNX, HDL-BUS Pro, Modbus and other control systems that are written in C++ to maximize communication speed and stability between automation and control panels. iRidium scripts can also be used to create and edit drivers to control and automate any equipment. This ensures efficient programming routines and enables greater functionality by customizing drivers for each particular job.
Interfaces created in TPDesign4 can be uploaded and used on control panels and devices. Integrators can also use the iRidium GUI Editor to create custom visualization, control and automation interfaces.
iRidium expands Crestron Capabilities two ways. The first is similar to using Crestron VisionTools Pro-e editor, and enables integrators to create a GUI and set up communication with Crestron components within the iRidium GUI Editor. This allows all Crestron capabilities to be incorporated into the project, and also enables the use of iRidium features such as advanced graphics, sounds, scenes, icons and effects, as well as control panel sensors, multiplatformity and site licensing, to name a few. Second, iRidium Scripts provide integrators the ability to expand graphical capabilities even further, and also enables simplified integration of other equipment into the project. New modules for Sonos and iTunes are expected to be available soon, and modules for XBMC and Squeezebox are expected to be available some time in April.
The iRidium Emulator is another valuable tool that is included, which provides a test bed for integrators to assess all functionality prior to it being loaded onto control panels and devices, minimizing programming time and cost.
iRidium mobile is a versatile solution that allows multiple electronic systems components to be combined into one project, where each can then be programmed, implemented and controlled via a single application via any device operating on the iOS, Mac, Windows XP/7/8, or Android platform, thereby simplifying all aspects of programming, automation and control.
New versions of the iRidium mobile software package are constantly being produced and tested, and additional manufacturer partnerships will be announced in the upcoming months.
