InfoComm 2019 is well underway. Day one of the show saw thousands of attendees checking out new products and services from audiovisual and communications companies from all over the world. As usual, the crowd consisted of manufacturers, integrators, and a growing number of tech managers and end users attending the show.
Attendees can visit booths to see the latest technology offerings, speak to representatives about specifications of those technologies, and learn more about how specific tech fits into overall environments – corporate, education, healthcare, retail, house of worship, and more.
I’ve personally attended the show for the past five years, and each year I see more members of our audience – end users, technology managers at the end of the distribution chain that are hiring integrators to install manufacturer products.
At first glance it might be unclear why end users attend the show. InfoComm was first created as a showcase for installers to learn about manufacturer products and services. Deals are done, networking occurs, relationships are forged in the alleyways of the InfoComm tradeshow. It makes sense – nowhere else throughout the year is so much of the audiovisual industry in one place at one time.
The benefit to end users is the same. While they might not be purchasing products directly from manufacturers, end users still need to be informed about what is on the market. Understanding products and how they work can give technology managers a better understanding of how to implement them in their own environments. Still – is this why end users come to the show?
We talked to a number of technology managers and end users to learn more about why the number of them attending InfoComm continues to grow. Check out the video above to hear directly from end users like you about why attending InfoComm 2019 was important to them.
