Dahua Technology is rolling out several new video security solutions, including hybrid thermal cameras, multisensor cameras, panoramic fisheye cameras, penta-brid recorders, as well as license plate recognition cameras.
Included in the new offerings are a number of cameras in Dahua’s WizSense (pronounced “Wise Sense”) and WizMind (pronounced “Wise Mind”) lines, which make selecting products with the right analytics easy, according to the company. Dahua introduced the WizSense and WizMind branding in October.
“No two applications are identical, so Dahua’s new products are designed to offer ultimate flexibility and the ability to deliver powerful, customized solutions and systems to meet end users’ unique needs,” says Jennifer Hackenburg, senior product marketing manager, Dahua Technology USA.
WizSense — Hybrid Compact IP Thermal Cameras
Part of the WizSense Series, the hybrid thermal network bullet (DH-TPC-BF1241N) and eyeball (DH-TPC-DF1241N) cameras combine an uncooled VOx 256 x 192 thermal imager with a 4MP visible-light sensor for cost-effective, short-range surveillance in an all-in-one package.
The thermal imager coupled with a thermalized, focus-free lens produces crisp images in total darkness and delivers high thermal sensitivity that sees through rain, fog, and snow, according to the company.
The hybrid thermal cameras also feature simultaneous Smart Alarm, with customizable voice prompt, and white light LEDs when an abnormal behavior is detected. With the addition of Analytics+, Dahua says false alerts from animals, weather and debris can be reduced so only alerts for humans and vehicles are detected, for higher efficiency.
WizMind — Multisensor IP Cameras
Dahua’s new 2nd generation WizMind multisensor cameras, with an all new silver housing, provide added flexibility for capturing wide area video surveillance. With four 2MP, 45° sensors working in tandem to create a comprehensive 180° overview, each multisensor camera can replace multiple single-sensor cameras, providing a higher return on investment, according to the company.
Available in a bullet (DH-IPC-PFW8840N-A180) and dome (DH-IPC-PDBW8840N-A180), these multisensor cameras feature Starlight Technology and IR illumination up to 98 feet for a clear image even in challenging lighting conditions.
With two new Analytics+ features, people and vehicles can be monitored more closely. Vehicle Density detects the number of vehicles in a selected area such as traffic lanes or parking lots. For applications with lots of people, the Crowd Map analytic provides an early warning when the crowd quantity or density exceeds the user-defined threshold.
WizMind — Panoramic IP Fisheye Cameras
With 5MP resolution and 360° panoramic range, these upgraded cameras deliver high-quality images with crisp details and accurate color rendition, even under complex lighting conditions thanks to True WDR (120 dB), according to the company.
Available in both indoor (N55CT5) and outdoor (N55CS5) versions, these 5MP fisheye models are part of Dahua’s WizMind series and include Analytics+ with advanced people-counting for monitoring up to four areas and heat-mapping.
Penta-brid HDCVI Recorders
As with Dahua’s previous penta-brid models, these solutions can record video from HDCVI, AHD, HDTVI, CVBS and IP sources simultaneously. What sets these DVRs apart is the ability to record 4K video on each HDCVI channel. Available in 8-channel (X82R2A and X82B2A) and 16-channel (X52B3A and X82B3A) models, these recorders take advantage of HDCVI technology for integration into existing video surveillance systems while leveraging existing networks, cabling and cameras.
License Plate Recognition Cameras
Dahua’s new license plate recognition cameras, ITC237-PW6M-IRLZF1050-B and ITC215-PW6M-IRLZF-B, automatically capture vehicle license plate images, and recognize license plate numbers and letters. License plate recognition technology offers effective entrance/exit management, traffic surveillance and parking lot monitoring with DSS video management software.
