My TechDecisions Podcast – Episode 8, Chris Imming and Jesse Anderson on InfoComm for End Users
Host Jonathan Blackwood speaks with two tech managers, Jesse Anderson and Chris Imming, about how to prepare and attend InfoComm as an end user.
In this episode of My TechDecisions Podcast, host and TD Managing Editor Jonathan Blackwood speaks with Chris Imming, Director of Media Services at Gordon College, and Jesse Anderson, Audio Video Services Manager at the College of the Holy Cross.
Jesse and Chris are tech managers at universities that have each attended InfoComm over a dozen times. InfoComm, for the few that might not know, is the largest annual conference and exhibition for AV buyers and sellers in the Western Hemisphere. Manufacturers, integrators and end users from all over the country fly to attend the annual show.
Chris and Jesse are seasoned veterans of InfoComm, and as such have amassed quite a bit of knowledge about how to prepare for and attend the show. In this episode, they each offer valuable advice for attendees, especially first timers. They speak about how to prepare for the show, what to get out of it as an end user, and the little tips and tricks people don’t think of before attending – like wearing comfortable shoes.
Anyone that is going to InfoComm or thinking about attending a future show should listen to this podcast. The insight and experience Jesse and Chris impart is truly vital to those attending. I learned a lot just conducting the interview, and this year will be my fourth show.
