As CEO of Cenero, Chris Henry knows a lot about the data behind systems. Cenero is a service-focused audio visual, unified communications and IT solutions provider dedicated to the intelligent integration of products and services to create high-value systems for clients that improve communication and efficiency. They do so using intelligent integration – by focusing on all elements of the meeting experience to provide a fully integrated solution from end to end.
They also do so using room specific analytics. Detailed reports on room usage and function, nightly test results for every device in every room, inventory tracking, and more are staples of Cenero’s analytics offerings. The goal is to give customers more information about their AV systems in order for the customer to understand their needs better.
Tom and Chris talk all about Cenero’s unique approach to providing its customers with business metrics. AV equipment is a great spot to utilize this type of information. Chris explains how gathering data around usage information of, say, a videoconferencing system can help a company out in the long term. In the next refresh of technology, the company can use the intelligence they gathered about usage rates to better choose the type of technology they want.
If a videoconferencing system is only being used 30 percent of the time, it doesn’t make sense to install a second in a new conference room. Conversely, if the technology in a huddle space is being used for a majority of the day, it may make sense to create more huddle spaces with the same technology. Chris explains how analytics are able to provide this type of information.
You can get more granular as well. Chris explains that business data can not only tell you how much a system is being used, it can tell you how well the system is working. Data can be gathered to visualize how well different products from different manufacturers are working together.
The benefits of business metrics and business intelligence become clear quickly. What’s less obvious is how to gather that information and visualize it. Cenero is committed to providing this information to its clients, and Chris explains how the integration firm is able to gather information and lay it out in a useful way for its customers. Since the integrator is in contact with all of this information, it’s the integrator’s job to present the information in digestible ways to its customers.
Chris explains what Cenero’s web portal, which presents this information to customers, looks like. He goes into how it allows customers to create custom reports, check on specific information, and interact with their business metrics independently. He also explains how the integrator is integral in setting up the system to gather this information.
