Each year, Aragon Research identifies Hot Vendors in multiple markets. It will host its annual awards ceremony in Silicon Valley in December 2017 to officially recognize the new and noteworthy Hot Vendors. Nureva Inc. has been one of the Hot Vendors in Aragon Research’s report “Hot Vendors in Visual Collaboration, 2017.”
Nureva is one of only four companies selected in its category and is recognized for the Span visual collaboration system, which takes the conventional tools of collaboration (whiteboards, sticky notes, images and flip charts) and brings them into a shared digital working space.
Aragon Research defines a Hot Vendor as a company that is doing something truly new or different, such as introducing a technology that expands capabilities or offering solutions that are innovative and poised to disrupt its market category.

According to the report, “Enterprises and education institutions looking for an interactive way to generate, share, and edit ideas as a group in real time should evaluate the Nureva Span system. The ease of access and interaction with the shared space allows for free-flowing collaboration sessions.”
“We are honored to be recognized by Aragon Research as a Hot Vendor in Visual Collaboration,” says Nancy Knowlton, Nureva’s CEO. “We’ve taken a unique approach to supporting group creativity and problem solving with the Span system, and it’s gratifying to see the excitement that’s building around it.”
More form Nureva’s press release:
The Span system is ideal for creative collaboration activities that benefit from visualizing and interacting with information on a large surface. The system transforms walls into large, ultrawide interactive surfaces that display an expansive digital canvas. Participants create their ideas on their personal devices, either a computer, tablet or smartphone, and share them in the cloud. The system draws upon familiar, simple and flexible tools already widely used in paper-based collaboration processes including sticky notes, sketches, images and flip charts. The digital canvas retains all of the flexibility that paper-based systems offer (e.g., large workspaces with persistent information) while overcoming many of the deficiencies (e.g., the awkwardness of physically moving large numbers of sticky notes, sticky notes that fall off the wall, challenges of including remote participants in the process, the need for transcription, and storage and retention of the work). The Span system is available in a variety of models and configurations to suit different types of creative collaboration activities and physical spaces.
