LG Business Solutions has released two new series of 4K UHD digital signage displays designed to lower the entry barrier for commercial use of digital signage.
The new products – the UL3G and US340C – come in a dozen different sizes ranging from 43 inches to 86 inches, the company said in a press release.
The UL3G is a smart display series with a built-in System-on-Chop (SOC) powered by a webOS operating system that enables a number of advanced features including an intuitive user interface and connect playback without the need for a media player. LG’s webOS Signage 4.1 platform is embedded in the display, allowing users to use LG’s ecosystem of third-party software applications.
Other features include Wi-Fi content mirroring, Beacon and Bluetooth Low Energy that enable mobile devices access to coupons and other shareable items, acting as a wireless access point for mobile devices, 8GB of built-in memory and more.

The US340C has removed the Wi-Fi capability, which LG says makes it an ideal solution for security-oriented uses like government, financial and some education applications. Like the UL3G, it supports SuperSign Control and includes two integrated 10-watt stereo speakers.
Except for the 50-inch models, the displays deliver 4K UDH resolution of 2,160 x 3,840 pixels with off-axis viewing angles and color accuracy. All models support High Efficiency Video Coding to compress or decompress 4K content. Both are TAA compliant and are Crestron Connected certified for compatibility with pro AV controls.
“It’s never been more important for businesses of all sizes to ensure their customer-facing and internal office display networks deliver information and visuals with enhanced resolution and clarity,” said Clark Brown, vice president, digital signage, at LG Business Solutions USA. “These two new series offer businesses of any size or means the ability to integrate UHD digital signage to suit a variety of messaging needs.”
The company’s press release did not detail the prices of the displays.
