Workplace communications and IT management software provider GoTo is the latest tech firm to leverage an integration with ChatGPT as the company is bringing the generative AI chatbot to its customer engagement product and IT management products to act as a writing assistant and a script generator.
The Boston-based software company launched last month its GoTo Customer Engagement product, which the company says is designed to bring the GoToConnect phone system and customer communication tools to a larger audience. Now, that solution is being enhanced with a new message assistant beta powered by ChatGPT.
According to the company, the integration will help users write messages and respond to replies. In addition, the addition of ChatGPT will help simplify creation of SMS campaigns by generating messages tailored to the campaign objective, audience and desired call to action.
The ChatGPT assistant can also suggest responses to incoming messages based on the customer’s previous interactions, GoTo says.
“This not only allows teams to respond faster to customer inquiries, but also saves valuable time which can be put back into focusing on more impactful areas of the business and those customer interactions that are best created by a human,” GoTo says in a blog.
Like other IT products leveraging the API from ChatGPT parent company OpenAI, GoTo is also introducing a new script-generating tool that features the generative AI chatbot. In the coming weeks, GoTo’s all-in-one IT management and support solution GoTo Resolve will include a beta to help make creating and running automation scripts easier.
“This is as easy as telling the tool what you want to happen and having a script auto generated to complete the task,” the company says. “As IT teams are constantly strapped for time, we believe ChatGPT is the perfect platform to help improve their productivity by automating administrative and repetitive tasks in a consistent manner.”
This is similar to other integrations between IT management products and ChatGPT, including Atera and ConnectWise.
