IT management software provider ConnectWise is the latest tech company to announce integrations with ChatGPT, and is updating its remote monitoring and management solutions with new OpenAI-powered tools in the coming weeks.
The company, which primarily provides IT management software to managed service providers, says its integration with OpenAI into the company’s existing portfolio of solutions is designed to enable its partners to solve complex problems for end customers.
Specifically, the integration is designed to help MSPs automate customer ticketing and issue-tracking processes, leading to faster response times and improved customer service and engagement, the Tampa, Fla.-based company says.
The first solutions to get the ChatGPT integration are ConnectWise Automate and ConnectWise RMM, according to ConnectWise. The company did not say if the same AI capabilities would be added to its internal IT offerings.
IT professionals have so far been using ChatGPT to help them write scripts and code to automate manual processes that typically consume time and resources, and the integration in the ConnectWise Asio platform, which includes the company’s automation and remote monitoring and management tools.

Ameer Karim, general manager and executive vice president of ConnectWise’s unified monitoring and management business, says the ChatGPT integration will allow partners to easily write complex scripts to help make their jobs easier.
“We are thrilled to announce this integration with OpenAI’s ChatGPT, a true game-changer for the IT industry,” Karim says. “We look forward to rolling this out to our partners starting this month and extending these AI capabilities to solve other use cases across additional ConnectWise solutions. These advanced AI solutions take our offering to a whole new level.”
According to ConnectWise, the announcement also marks Automate’s integration into the Asio platform, which helped make the development and deployment of the ChatGPT integration possible.
Now with AI-driven analytics and insight, MSPs can better understand their customers’ needs and preferences, the company says.
ConnectWise Chief Technology Officer Raghu Bongula says the company has been prototyping with AI for years and the company had plans to bring AI tools to its solutions later this year, but the emergence of OpenAI and ChatGPT accelerated those plans.
“We’re excited to add this as a core capability within Asio,” Bongula says.
