If you’re following the BYOD trend by encouraging your employees and students to use the own smartphone, tablets, computers and USB drives to engage in collaborative presentations, you’ll need a projector that’s BYOD-capable. Offering nine new options is InFocus Corporation. The nine projectors make up three different lines: the IN130, IN130ST, and IN2130 Series.
A prominent feature in all three lines is a new TechStation internal HDMI 1.4 bay. To this bay users can add a Google Chromecast, Intel Computer Stick, InFocus SimpleShare, Asus Chromebit, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Android TV Stick or any other HDMI-compatible. The bay keeps the cables and dongles neatly tucked away.
Projector Specs
The projectors boast improved image quality, as well: a 28,500:1 contrast ratio and BrilliantColor DLP technology for more than 1 billion colors that will show up on whiteboards, blackboards, or beige walls in any room environment, regardless of existing light.
“The IN130, IN130ST, and IN2130 Series projectors make quick-start lessons and meetings easy, regardless of room size, light levels, or the presentation device,” says Dave Duncan, product manager, InFocus.
Projector Applications
The IN130 and IN130ST are ideally suited for classroom environments, thanks to a bright picture, flexible and fast integration with devices for casting, and long lamp life at a value price. The IN130ST is a short-throw projector, able to present a 100-inch image from less than four feet away.
The IN2130 series is designed for meeting rooms and huddle spaces where connection flexibility and BYOD is practiced. Each projector in this series—IN2134, IN2136, and IN2138HD—feature 4,500 lumens of brightness.
All nine new projector models include a powered HDMI port for mobile charging and device power, plus support for 3D content.
Availability and Pricing
The IN130, IN130ST and IN21340 Series will be available mid-November with prices ranging from $700 to $1,400.
