Accenture and AWS have teamed up to launch Velocity, a new platform designed to optimize business outcomes by removing the complexity associated with building and operating enterprise-scale applications and estates in the cloud.
According to the companies, Velocity allows customers to adopt Accenture and AWS innovations without recreating time-consuming, labor-intensive work and recurring costs at the start of every project. The platform is based on the learnings from thousands of projects from the companies.
The Velocity platform assimilates learnings rom nearly 40 solutions for 16 industries with use-case relevance and serves as a foundation for an expanded set of new, co-developed industry solutions, the companies say.
Executives at Accenture and AWS say Velocity is part of a five-year vision designed to help customers modernize and transform in the cloud further and faster.
Velocity is available on a subscription basis and includes a pre-built and self-reviewing capabilities with a growing library of design patterns to help enterprises quickly create cloud-first environments based on specific business imperatives, including security and data.
The companies say Velocity is available for industry, technical and independent software vendor partner solutions to leverage Velocity’s Fabric as patterns and blocks of deployable code with automation, including pre-integration features optimized for the expanding suite of Amazon business solutions.
The platform also includes activators to help ease technology and talent hurdles via a comprehensive set of assets, methodologies and processes. The companies say Accenture has 27,000 AWS cloud specialists who hold 34,000 AWS certifications can accelerate digital transformation.
