Lenovo is releasing the ThinkSmart View Plus, a new dedicated Microsoft Teams display with audio, video and whiteboarding features designed for hot desking, phone booths, executive desks and home offices.
According to the company’s announcement from ISE 2023, the ThinkSmart View Plus is designed to enable hybrid work with a 27-inch screen, premium video and audio and built-in compute. The display offers a customized, secure and flexible Microsoft Teams experience by providing access to Teams chat, calendar and files while enabling workers to join meetings through the device.
When connected to a user’s PC, the display enables screensharing between the two devices to simultaneously view content and presents. The Lenovo ThinkSmart View Plus can be switched to monitor mode when connected to a PC through USB-C.
A hotdesking feature allows users to sign in and transition from their home office to work without a complicated setup. User information is removed from the device upon signing out.
The display also features a passive stylus pen, Microsoft whiteboard application, two 5w speakers, a four-mic array, and a 4K IRGB camera with auto framing.
The ThinkSmart View Plus utilizes the Qualcomm QCS8250 System-on-Chip (SoC), a purpose-built chip for enterprise and commercial IoT applications. The premium-tier processor is designed to provide maximum performance for compute-intensive camera and Edge AI applications, and also features support of Wi-Fi 6.
“Lenovo’s customers are looking for smart, flexible solutions to empower team members so they can collaborate better in a range of workplace scenarios,” says Shannon MacKay, general manager of Worldwide Smart Collaboration Business, Lenovo. “The ThinkSmart View Plus is designed with the functionality to help increase productivity, innovation, and employee satisfaction.”
The ThinkSmart View Plus comes with three years of Lenovo’s Premier Support, and also includes:

In addition to the ThinkSmart View Plus, Lenovo is also introducing a new controller option for ThinkSmart Core and ThinkSmart One to empower collaboration spaces. The new IP controller is an AV-over-IP display with HDMI pass-through with Ethernet connectivity with PoE. It allows for installation up to 100 meters rom the PC without needing extenders, complicated installations and needing power at the table, according to Lenovo.
Lenovo also announced the availability of the ThinkSmart One, a Windows-based collaboration bar for small-to-medium-sized meeting rooms or home offices. It supports Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms and features eight microphone arrays with echo and noise cancellation, 15-Watt stereo speakers and an integrated high-resolution camera with wide field of view.
