ServiceNow is releasing the Now Platform Utah, an expansion of the company’s digital workflow management platform designed to help organizations future-proof their businesses with new AI-powered process mining and robotic process automation capabilities, including a new AI-powered search feature.
In addition, the Now Platform Utah release includes expanded workforce optimization tools and health and safety incident management capabilities designed to increase automation, simplify experiences and help organizations become more agile.
The platform includes a range of new AI-powered tools to help organizations deliver more value by orchestrating work across silos to multiply productivity and accelerate automation, including a new AI Search feature built into ServiceNow’s Next Experience. This uses AI and natural language processing to help service delivery workers find the information they need to do their jobs more effectively.
For example, AI Search includes auto-complete suggestions, exact match and typo handling to help users more quickly find relevant materials to help them resolve an issue.
The platform’s Process Optimization tool is also being expanded to support workflows beyond IT service management and to other workflows within the platform, including field service management and others. The tool also features improved AI-powered visibility into hidden inefficiencies that can be applied to the company’s robotic process automation (RPA) solution to optimize process efficiencies.
ServiceNow is also improving the Now platform’s Workforce Optimization capabilities to include workflows beyond IT service management and customer service and into areas such as human resources. The tool now gives HR management a central place to understand and optimize their employee bases or teams, the company says.
The Now Platform Utah release also includes AI-enabled text extraction capabilities that provides a streamlined user experience and the ability to pull large amounts of data from long tables in documents like invoices and purchase orders.
Other automation capabilities include enhancements to performance tools and impact accelerators designed to help platform owners better manage system health and reduce the time it takes to bring critical dashboards online, the company says.
The Now Platform Utah also features new security and risk management tools to help document and resolve safety incidents and cybersecurity incidents, as well as workplace resilience tools to help give organizations visibility into vulnerabilities, outages and failed controls.
Further, a new Log Export Service is designed to simplify security and performance monitoring for Now Platform implementation by incorporating ServiceNow system and application logs into enterprise security analytics tools, ServiceNow says.
To help organizations become more efficient, the Now Platform Utah includes new capabilities that allow users to control app redundancy and limit overspending, and other tools designed to help facility managers make informed data-driven decisions about office space.
The Now Platform Utah is generally available today.
CJ Desai, ServiceNow’s president and chief operating officer, says the platform will help organizations innovate without sacrificing speed and agility.
“ServiceNow’s intelligent platform offers fast time to value, continuous net new innovation, and a simplified and seemingly invisible upgrade experience so customers can do more with less and transform their business models,” Desai says. “Our latest release is designed for this moment – empowering organizations to maximize efficiency, accelerate ROI on digital spend, and create simplified, connected experiences across their entire value chain.”
