IK Multimedia's iRig PRE Universal Microphone Interface is Available Now

The iRig PRE universal XLR microphone interface has the fundamental features of professional studio microphone preamps like an adjustable gain control, 48-volt phantom power and an audio/headphone output jack for real-time monitoring.

In addition to the above elements, iRig PRE comes ready to go with two free apps for download from the App Store: iRig Recorder Free — an audio field recorder, and VocaLive Free — a vocal-effects processor for stage or studio use.

The iRig PRE can capture live performances on the go with professional stage or studio microphones. It can also be used by songwriters who want to capture samples of their compositions while they are at it.
iRig PRE does not require external power from the Apple device, does not drain its battery and provides hours of recording time on a single device charge because of its on-board 48v phantom power supplied by a standard 9-volt battery which is included.

iRig PRE’s battery will last up to 10 hours with a phantom-powered condenser mic. With microphones, like dynamic models, that don’t require phantom power, you can use it for 30 hours from a single battery.
