After getting an ear-full of praise and suggestions from colleges about the Solstice software, Christine Owens says Mersive is leap-frogging right into Solstice 2.0.
Owens, the vice president of marketing at Mersive, says that the company “took a big leap” with Solstice 2.0, and the risk was well worth it.
“[Some colleges] saw the preview of Solstice 2.0, and already love it,” she says.
Even though Owens says that the new product is “more intuitive, easy, and runs quicker,” its key features include:
– a touch screen display, which accommodates group interactions with unlimited touching
– can be utilized as a user to change the layout, structure and order of a project
-iPad and iPhone mirroring
-an added moderator function, which allows an instructor to set up a session as a moderator and open that session to everyone without kicking people off. Instructors are now able to invite an entire class of students into the session without interruption.
-continues to support real-time sharing of applications, documents, images and videos
These features also will continue to be supported by the current Solstice set up, which, once the software is licensed and installed on a PC, students and professors can simultaneously connect, display, share and control content from any device.
