Apprimo Touch 8i
Increasingly more devices are connecting to Internet protocol (IP) networks, shifting control connections away from RS-232, infrared (IR) and GPIO ports over to the local area network. The Apprimo Touch 8i from Biamp is a PoE touchscreen interface with an integrated controller that manages up to 20 IP-based devices over the LAN, making it well-suited to operate a growing array of device types in a wide variety of spaces. This stylish 8-inch capacitive touch control panel is constructed with scratch-resistant glass and comes with a tabletop stand, with several wall- and flush- mounting options available. Passive IR sensors activate the screen as someone approaches and adjusts brightness according to the ambient light. Biamp Project Designer drag-and-drop software makes it easy to configure the highly customizable Touch 8i without coding or the need for certified programmers. Project Designer includes a library of more than 7,000 device drivers from hundreds of manufactures, and a selection of themes and customizable templates for effortless configuration to perfectly match specific customer needs. The Apprimo Touch 8i can accept up to eight Biamp multiports, making it efficient and cost-effective for the Touch 8i to control 36 IP devices and offer 48 conventional (RS-232/IR and GPIO) ports.
